Rosemary Sea Salt FlackersĀ 

I LOVE crunchy stuff and {duh} carbs. But, not really doing the carb thing so much…so I was pretty excited to see “Flackers” on the shelf at the store recently. They are DELISH and provide a good dose of healthy fat with the flax seed.

I decided to make my own the other day and not only were they so tasty…the recipe included eggs and cheese, unlike the store bought crackers. Hello, higher fat content!! You can do lots with flavors! Next I’m going to try dill!



  • 1 cup whole flax seeds
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan or Romano cheese
  • 1 tsp minced fresh rosemary
  • Sea salt





Preheat oven to 350F & line cookie sheet with parchment paper.

Add all ingredients {aside from salt} to a medium bowl and mix well. Let it sit for about 5 minutes. Mixture will become much thicker.
On a large, clean surface, roll out the “dough” with a rolling pin until it is thin like a cracker.

Cut “dough” into squares {I used a pizza cutter}.

Place the squares on the cookie sheet and sprinkle with sea salt to taste.


Bake 10 minutes then flip, and bake another 3 minutes. Then turn the oven off and let the “flackers” remain in the oven for 10 minutes {give or take depending on how crisp you want them}.






Serve with cream cheese, guacamole or cheese!
