You will pretty much never find me without some kind of lip balm with me. You know those silly questionnaires you see sometimes, see that ask what 3 things you would have with you if you were stuck on a deserted island or if there was a zombie apocalypse? Yeah. Well one of my 3 things is for sure chapstick/lip balm…whatever you want to call it. Gotta have it.
I decided to see how easy it would be to make my own. Ummmm…ridiculously easy! And who doesn’t love to say “I made that”?!
I went out to gather my supplies and was starting to feel like it was adding up more than I wanted until I got home and realized how much it makes! Watch out people…birthday and Christmas gifts coming your way 😁
- 1 Tbsp Beeswax Pellets
- 1 Tbsp Shea Butter
- 1 Tbsp Coconut Oil
- 12ish drops your favorite Essenial Oil
The Beeswax, Shea Butter, essential oils and little containers can all be bought at a craft store. Coconut oil can be bought at pretty much any grocery store.
Place first 3 ingredients in microwaveable bowl and heat for 30 seconds at a time, stirring in between. Once Beeswax pellets are melted it’s ready to stir in the essential oil and pour into containers!
That’s it! Easy peasy! I’ve used grapefruit and peppermint…but there are a gazillion to choose from, especially if you go to a health foods store. They typically have a wide variety of essential oils.
My hands feel dry frequently…like all the time. This is good for that too! Hands, feet, elbows…anything that tends to get dry. Enjoy!
